EARTH MANUAL PROJECT
Exhibition

The Japan Foundation, Bangkok, in partnership with TCDC Chiang Mai, is proud to present the traveling exhibition Earth Manual Project at the gallery of TCDC Chiang Mai from 15th December 2015 to 3rd April 2016.

An initiative of Design and Creative Center Kobe (KIITO), EARTH MANUAL PROJECT encourages a country of frequent natural disasters, such as Indonesia, Philippines, Japan, and Thailand to become a country of excellent disaster preparedness. The exhibition’s maiden run happened for the first time in October 2013 in Kobe, Japan, wherein 23 projects from different Asian countries showcased activities centered on disaster risk reduction and post-disaster relief and recovery. After that, it was held in Manila at Ayala Museum, Baguio and Ilio Ilio, Philippines. And now, the exhibition had finally made its way to TCDC Chiang Mai introducing 12 activities, including the showcase of “How to Live Safely from the City’s Smog?” a design thinking workshop in collaboration between TCDC Chiang Mai, Club Creative Co., Ltd. and the Japan Foundation, Bangkok.

The exhibition is an opportunity for visitors to make their own disaster preparedness manual based on the presented projects, as well as for audience to hear stories and expertise from overseas creators.
