1. Teachers who teach Japanese language at the private and public educational institutions.
2. Teachers who teach Japanese language at Japanese Language Department, Japan Foundation, Bangkok.
3. Visiting Teachers of Japanese Language Department, Japan Foundation, Bangkok.
4. Trainees who attend the course of Japanese Language Department, Japan Foundation, Bangkok.
   

1. Two current photographs (2.5 x 3 cm)
2. A copy of passport (For foreign teachers)
3. A copy of Civil Servant ID card (For public educational institutions)
4. A copy of ID card (For private educational institutions)
5. Teaching certificate from educational institutions

1. Applicant is required to bring the above mentioned application items to library when they apply for membership.
2. Applicant is required to fill in the application form and pay annual membership fee and deposit. (Please inform library immediately of any changes, such as address, telephone number, etc.)
3. An accepted applicant will obtain a blue membership card.
   

1.Teachers who teach Japanese language in educational institutions are required to renew their membership within 6 months after the date of expiry, otherwise the library shall delete the data from the membership system without prior notice, and they have to take the above mentioned application procedures again to be members.

2. Membership status of teachers who teach Japanese language at Japanese Language Department, Japan Foundation, Bangkok will be valid according to their employment term.

3. Membership period of the Visiting Teachers and the Trainees of Japanese Language Department, Japan Foundation, Bangkok is one year or their employment term. Members are required to renew their membership within 6 months after the date of expiry, otherwise library shall delete the data from the membership system without prior notice, and they have to take the above mentioned application procedures to be members.

1. Users are required to put their personal belongings such as bags and contents in the lockers provided in the library.
2. No food or drink is allowed in the library.
3. Users are requested to handle books, audio-visual materials and equipment with care.
4. Users are liable for the total cost of any damages incurred while library materials and equipment are in the user’s care. Or pay for the same materials to compensate for the library.
   

1. Members may borrow up to three books at one time for a period of two weeks.
2. Members may borrow up to four items of audio-visual materials at one time for a period of two weeks. (Video Tape 2 items and Cassette Tape 2 items)
3. Members may borrow only one items of Japanese proficiency test book at one time for one week during the test preparation period (September - December). (Should be included in the three books which members can borrow at one time as the topic 1)
4. The lending period may be extended one time, one week only, by informing the library before the due date, unless the borrowed materials are reserved. *Japanese proficiency test books are not allowed to extend lending during the test preparation period.
   
5. Library will keep late charge and impose penalty for overdue books as follows;
   
   
   • General books --> 3 Baht/book/day
   • Japanese proficiency test books ? 3 Baht/book/day during normal period, 10 Baht/book/day during the test preparation period.
   • Library will keep the deposit 1 month after due date.
   • Overdue books more than 2 months could result in legal proceedings.
     
     
6. Members who have loast or caused serious damage to the borrowed materials are required to make compensatory payment, with additional 50 Baht for proceeding fee.
   
7. Fee for reissuing membership card is 20 Baht in case of lost.

1. Special long-term lending services can be arranged. Please contact the library counter for the details.
   
2. Lending services by mail are available for Japanese language teachers who teach in the upcountry. The Japan Foundation, Bangkok Library will bear the delivering cost of the requested materials. However, return the materials to the library should be done at the expense and responsibility of the borrowers. Materials must be returned by certified mail. Lending period for this service in one month, including delivering and returning period as the stamped postal date. The late charge and penalty will be applied for overdue book same as normal lending. Please comtact Library counter for details.
   
   Note Teachers may send the list of requested materials to the Library directly by mail or fax.
