Recognising the need to collaborate and cooperate with corporate CSR activities, the Japan Foundation conducted a survey of philanthropic activities by Japanese companies in Thailand in January 2007. The survey, conducted in cooperation with the Japanese Chamber of Commerce, Bangkok, assessed the current state of CSR and philanthropic activities by Japanese companies in Thailand. A questionnaire was used to gain an overall picture of these activities, while interviews were conducted with respondent companies to ascertain as much information as possible on specific projects to serve as models for such activities.

The Foundation has contributed to the sharing of information on philanthropic activities among Japanese companies by holding presentations of the survey results in cooperation with the Japanese Chamber of Commerce, Bangkok.
