Demonstration on "Ikebana",
Japanese Traditional Flower Arranging

Prof. Yasuhito SASAKIAdditional announcement on Ikebana, Japanese flower arranging! The Embassy of Japan in Thailand and the Japan Foundation, Bangkok are delighted to co-organize a Demonstration on Ikebana at the Embassy of Japan (Multi Purpose Hall), on Thursday September 30, 2010 from 14.00 hrs in cooperation with the Nok Yung Ikenobo Ikebana Association Bangkok Chapter. This event will be conducted by Mr. Yasuhito SASAKI, Professor of Japanese Flower Arranging of Ikenobo Society of Floral Art from Kyoto.

Prof. SASAKI is appointed this year as "Japan Cultural Envoy" by Agency for Cultural Affairs of Japanese Government, to introduce Japanese traditional Ikebana in many cities in Southeast Asia including Bangkok and Chiang Mai.

In this connection, Isetan Department Store and the Japan Foundation, Bangkok will also hold a demonstration by Prof. Sasaki on Saturday October 2 at 12.00/13.00/14.00 and 15.00 hrs. at 1F of Isetan in front of Anna Sui Shop. Ikebana exhibition by Prof. Sasaki will be on view there until Oct. 4.
