Demonstration and Workshop on "Ikebana",
Japanese Traditional Flower Arranging

Prof. Yasuhito SASAKIGood news for those who are enchanted by Ikebana, Japanese flower arranging! The Japan Foundation, Bangkok is delighted to organize a Demonstration and Workshop on Ikebana at Japan Foundation, Bangkok (Classroom E) 10F Sermmit Tower Bldg. Sukhumvit 21 Rd. (Asokemontri), on Thursday September 23, 2010 from 18.30 to 20.00 hrs in cooperation with the Nok Yung Ikenobo Ikebana Association Bangkok Chapter. This event will be conducted by Mr. Yasuhito SASAKI, Professor of Japanese Flower Arranging of Ikenobo Society of Floral Art from Kyoto.

Prof. SASAKI is appointed this year as "Japan Cultural Envoy" by Agency for Cultural Affairs of Japanese Government, to introduce Japanese traditional Ikebana in many cities in Southeast Asia including Bangkok and Chiang Mai.

For more information and reservation, please call Japan Foundation, Bangkok Tel: 02-260-8560-3 on Monday, September 20, 2010 from 9 a.m. until all seats are occupied. The number of participants is limited to 25 persons only.

In this connection, Isetan Department Store will hold a demonstration by Prof. Sasaki on Sat. Oct. 2 at 12.00/13.00/14.00 and 15.00 hrs. 1F of Isetan in front of Anna Sui Shop. Those who are interested in Japanese flower arrangement are cordially welcome. Ikebana exhibition by Prof. Sasaki will be on view there until Oct. 4.
