(2) The Japan Foundation Asia Center Grant Programs

The Japan Foundation Asia Center solicits grant proposals from academic and research institutions, and NGOs, on such issues common to the Asia-Pacific region as tolerance for diversity, development of equitable and open society, and conservation of traditional values and culture. The proposed project should be international collaborations, having participants from more than one country in the region. Applications are received all through the year, however advance consultation may be recommended. The guidelines and application form are available at JCC.

As an information center

JCC is eager to provide practitioners and organizers of cultural exchange activities, and all those who are interested in such activities, with relevant information. JCC has been conducting surveys about various topics concerning cultural exchange, and is pleased to share their fruit and discuss with the people concerned as to how to develop an idea, and how to find counterparts in the respective countries of the Asian region, and so forth. JCC welcomes general inquiries about Japanese culture.
